Um ...
"Has the United States or even simply Washington, DC held a silent moment for the victims of the London bombings? Has any national gesture of solidarity been proposed? If so, I haven't seen or heard of it. We're just going about our business while insisting that the world perpetually acknowledge our scars and trauma from September 11th as our justification to wage whatever aggressive action we deem necessary to ensure it never happens again."
On that cheery note, I'm bopping around this weekend -- you never know where I'll be next! Of course, right now, I'm at home, enjoying the first day in a week when I wasn't out of the house by 7 a.m. driving to work with my mother. *stretches lazily*
For enquiring minds, Molly's wedding will be a year from now, presumably on this side of the pond. As my dad aptly noted, Molls has been pretty much married to her betrothed, Jeff, since about a year after they started dating (3 yrs ago), they've cohabitated in sin for a year now, and he's been a member of the Perkinses in good standing ever since mom decided it was totally cool to pay him to clean up our enormous basement, so no official paper-signings or parties really changes the way we see them. But Molly gets jewelry out of the deal.
